About the venue
Coombe Yarra Valley sits on the historic Coombe Cottage estate, once home to the opera soprano Dame Nellie Melba, seven acres from the centre of Coldstream. The property holds seven acres of landscaped gardens - manicured hedges, a working rose garden, and a canopy oak believed to be over 180 years old - alongside a restored main house that now runs as the estate's restaurant and reception room.
Three ceremony settings sit across the grounds - the Italian Garden, the Oak Tree, and the open lawns between them - so the choice comes down to formality and scale rather than moving off-site. The main dining room seats up to 150 for the reception, with floor-to-ceiling windows keeping the gardens in view through dinner and dancing.
